| Part 4 - Sermon Summary by Dan Stevens |
Isn’t it interesting, when the Philippian jailer asked “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” and Paul and Silas did not say “please come to our Church, we are doing an evangelistic program.”
The core of the Gospel is simple: believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved. (Acts 16:31). Are we able to articulate this message clearly and with relevance, both in season and out of season?
This challenge doesn’t require eloquent speech or intellectual prowess. It requires setting apart Christ as Lord in our hearts and being ready to share the reason for hope that is within us. Fumbling and faltering as we may be, let us take the task on our hands to answer the questioner.
Do not point to a resource or a speaker or a Church. If someone asks you a question about your faith now, there is no guarantee they will ever ask that again. Evangelism happens when each one of us are prepared to share the Gospel.
