The man I admire most is the Apostle Paul. He was well-educated and lived a sophisticated life. Yet, after encountering Jesus, he left that life behind to embrace the one Jesus showed him. Think about the courage it took to abandon a prideful existence to follow a man who was considered shameful in the Jewish community. That’s what I call humility—laying down his upbringing, status, and sophisticated life.
Paul recognized his strengths and surrendered them completely to Jesus. He used his talents and education to spread the Gospel throughout the world. The strategies he employed for evangelism were astonishing. Before his conversion, very little was done to carry the Gospel to non-Jews. But once transformed, the ordinary can become extraordinary, and the extraordinary can become glorious.
That’s the beauty of surrendering our lives to Jesus. It is a wonderful experience to see Paul, the servant of Jesus Christ, embodying servant leadership in his life.
Yes. It is amazing to see what can do through the people who surrender their lives to God. Simple and sinful people are made powerful with God’s grace to fulfill His purpose
